Part of a series based on the 12 spiritual keys which unlock the gates of paradise.

I chose to do a still life to portray internal alchemy through symbolism. Here can be seen the body (lead) being separated from the heart (gold). The scale balances the heart and mind (prism). Light divided by the mind is reflected back by the soul (mirror).
